Catering and Hall Rental
We thank you for considering the Onalaska American Legion for your banquet and catering needs. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your contract for the banquet hall, activity center, or beverage options, please contact the Bar Manager at 608-783-3300. To reserve your date, you must have a signed rental contract and a 50% depoist. We do not allow any carry ins. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your menu, or any details regarding your event, please contact the catering coordinator at 608-769- 3628. We can accommodate any event from 50 to 225 people. We can arrange your special day for weddings, birthdays, reunions, anniversaries, graduations, retirement celebrations, memorials, and funerals.
Should the renter choose not to have the Post Auxiliary cater the event, please make sure that your caterer has all the equipment they will need to serve food. This includes all flatware, paper products-plates, cups, napkins, salt, pepper, and any condiments needed, plus serving utensils, bowls, pans. etc. The kitchen will be locked and is off limits for the event. In addition to the rental costs, there is also a charge of $150.00 for an Auxiliary non-catered event. The banquet room will be set up as requested prior to the event.
RENTAL RATES
Post 336 Legion, Auxiliary, and SAL member rates:
Banquet Hall: $150 Hall Rental | Funeral and Memorial Functions: No Charge
Activity Center: $125 Rental Fee -plus $75 (refundable) cleaning deposit.
In order to book under member rates, you must be:
Available to Post 336 members in good standing. (Membership dues are paid).
The spouse or child of a member. Other family relations do not qualify for discount
General Public Rates:
Banquet Hall: $400 Rental Fee | Funeral and Memorial Functions: $100
Activity Center: $225 Rental Fee- plus $75 (refundable) cleaning deposit

UPON PLANNING YOUR SPECIAL EVENT:
Items and services included in the hall catered rental fee are: white tablecloths for buffet, gift, dessert, and head table. All other tables carry a $5.00 fee per table for tablecloths. There will be a 25.00 cake cutting/fee. We only allow freestanding decor on our tables, no confetti or open flame candles. There is no taping on the walls, only push pins or thumbtacks allowed. Our payment options are as follows: cash, debit or credit cards. There will be a 3% processing fee for all debit/credit card transactions. This is to cover the processing cost. We will not take business or personal checks. While figuring your final costs, please take into consideration the 5.5% sales tax and the kitchen service charge. That amount is used for funding our veterans programs, kitchen rental and employee wages. Tipping is optional but NOT INCLUDED in the service charge. In addition, a 10% discount is offered to all Post 336 members in good standing. We will allow you to take home any left-over food. Please bring your own containers and we will use them to put left-over food in. We will contact you 7-10 days before the event to get your final head count and any other changes to be made. Prices guaranted for 30 days before event.
BUFFET DINNER MENU OPTIONS:
All buffets are served with one choice of Salad, Potato, and Vegetable. If an extra Salad, Potato or Vegetable is requested it will be an additional $2.00 per item. Entrée's: Choice of One: $21.00 or choice of two entrees $23.00
